Shanghai VIP Client Lesson Policies
As a Shanghai-based VIP client, before starting our VIP custom course service, please make sure that you have read and agreed to the following terms. If you are not physically present in Shanghai, you may find that our online courses make more sense for you.
Money-Back Guarantee
If, after your first lesson, you are not satisfied with the VIP custom course you have purchased and would like a refund, simply email us at support@allsetlearning.com to receive a full refund.
Lesson Scheduling and CancelLation
The VIP custom course is intended to be intensive. Although there is no longer a fixed monthly fee, There is a minimum of 8 hours (2 hours per week) for each month of service. (The recommended minimum is two 2-hour lessons per week, for a total of 16-18 hours per week.)
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please be sure to do so more than 24 hours in advance. Cancelling (or rescheduling) within 24 hours of the original lesson time will result in a 90 RMB "last-minute cancellation fee.” Cancelling within 2 hours of the original lesson time (or failing to appear for your scheduled lesson at all) will result in the entire lesson fee being forfeit.
If you are late for your scheduled lesson time, the teacher will wait for you up to 30 minutes. Lessons which start late should still end at the original scheduled time. Additional lesson time (added onto the end of the lesson) will be billed at the original rate.
If you do not use up all of your pre-paid lesson hours in a given month of service, those lesson hours may be carried over to the following month of service, where the lesson hours will be deducted from new fees.
The Shanghai VIP Client service may be paused (e.g. skipping 1 or 2 months for vacation or business trips), but unused lesson hour credits will expire 60 days from the end of the previous service period if no additional month of service service has been purchased.
Additional VIP Services Included
Your lead consultant (John) will meet with each new client (in person or online, as schedules require) prior to the new client starting the service, and will stay in contact via email and WeChat to collect feedback, answer questions, and help address issues that arise. John will also be available for a scheduled consultation at the end of every third month of service thereafter to help keep your studies on track and properly focused.
As a bonus, each client that completes at least 70% of prepaid lessons in a given month will be eligible for additional services as part of the VIP package, which will repeat in a three-month cycle for long-term clients:
Meet with John prior to starting the service, then check in at the end of Month 01 as well
Spoken Proficiency Assessment with audio recording at the end of Month 02
Consulting Meeting with John at the end of Month 03
Pronunciation or Grammar Test at the end of Month 04 (repeat every 3 months)
Spoken Proficiency Assessment with audio recording at the end of Month 05 (repeat every 3 months)
Consulting Meeting with John at the end of Month 06 (repeat every 3 months)
