Lots of New Content Coming to the Chinese Picture Book Reader

The AllSet Learning team has been hard at work for some time now on the next round of new content for the Chinese Picture Book Reader iPad app. A blog post on Sinosplice helped provide some ideas, and summer intern Mei helped with the graphic redesign of the “College Kid Interview” series, which now supports high-res “retina” iPads.

The content updates in version 1.3 of the Chinese Picture Book Reader will include:

  1. Life in the Countryside, featuring the photography of Sean Hanratty (all-new content)
  2. Chinese College Kid Interview #1: What do you most like to eat? (graphic redesign update)
  3. Chinese College Kid Interview #2: When speaking of the USA, what’s the first thing you think of? (graphic redesign update)
  4. Chinese College Kid Interview #3: What do you think happiness is? (graphic redesign update)
  5. Chinese College Kid Interview #4: What Chinese City do you like most? (all-new content)
  6. Chinese College Kid Interview #5: Who is your hero? (all-new content)
  7. Chinese College Kid Interview #6: In the past 10 years, what do you think has been the biggest change in China? (all-new content)
  8. Chinese College Kid Interview #7: What do you think is the best way to pursue someone you like? (all-new content)
  9. Chinese College Kid Interview #8: If you want to live pretty well in Shanghai, how much do you think your salary should be? (all-new content)

Below are some screenshots featuring the new graphic redesign of the College Kid Interview series and the new content featuring the photography of Sean Hanratty. We’ll share more info as the new version gets closer to release (which won’t be long now!).

The new version will be available soon; in the meantime, download for free from the App Store now.
